Carry on somewhere else
Read on your phone in the morning and pick up on your computer at night. The Abundant Life Journey moves your devotional day between devices without an account and without a server — the two devices never talk to each other, and nothing is sent to us.
1. Open Settings where you have been reading
Under Carry on somewhere else it shows the day you are on, a short code such as LA-4D2-BJ8, and a square you can scan.
2. Take it to the other device
Point that device’s camera at the square, or type the six characters into the box on its own Settings screen. Six characters is short enough to read out over the phone.
3. Say yes
The other device shows which day it is about to move to and waits for you to accept. Nothing changes until you do.
Only the devotional day travels. Your journal, your reflections, your saved cards and your settings stay exactly where they are, on the device that holds them.
Keep it on your home screen
The web app can be saved like any other app, so it opens full screen from an icon instead of a browser tab — and once saved it keeps working without a connection. There is nothing to install and no account to make.
iPhone and iPad
Open the web app in Safari. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow), scroll down, and choose Add to Home Screen. Safari is the only browser on iOS that can do this.
Mac
Open it in Safari, then choose File › Add to Dock. In Chrome or Edge, use the install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar.
Windows and Android
In Chrome or Edge, look for the install icon in the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose Install or Add to Home screen. On Windows you may prefer the Windows app instead.
